Russian cinematographer Pyotr Dukhovskoy, talks about using the PB70 - which is the largest and most powerful of the parallel beam lights offered by dedolight - this light is mainly directed at use in Lightstream drama applications.


This short film provides insight into the working practices and thought processes of cinematographer Pyotr Dukhovskoy, and how working with reflected light contributes to the art of image making.

"This wonderful projector with the parallel beam opens new horizons for the DOP. The big advantage of this lighting device is, that you have one light source like the sun, which can cater for lighting the whole scene. At the same time the light source can stand outside behind the window on the street. Inside there are only reflectors on compact brackets. The beam from this light source is similar to the sun in terms of the character of the light."
